NOSTALGIA OF "90 BORNS" !!
90s !! Almost two decades flew away but those 10 years refuse to fade away from our memory ! 1991-2000 was undoubtedly an era that celebrated life in its own delightful method ! An era that was a perfect blend of smartness and innocence !! It dwelled amidst 1980s and 2000s , i.e. the India in 90s, experienced the beginning of Modernity, and ironically the last era that remained untouched by the curse (you know why I call it a curse) of technology !!)
This era had its own nostalgic memories and methods, that each of us, who have the privilege of being a "90s Kid", can never let go.

1) SHAKTIMAAN
Beginning from the dynamic superhero of our childhood, Shaktimaan undoubtedly remains the first nostalgia of each 90-born kid. Everyone awaited the clock to strike 12 in the noon on Sundays, just to see that Superhero donned in his maroon-golden outfit making ways to get hold of Tamraaj Kilvish, who was the living embodiment of the evil and dark forces of the world. No one can forgo those phrases "Andhera Kaayam Rahe" and "Sorry Shaktimaan".

2) SCOOBY DOOBY DOO
Remember that brown male "Great Dane" and the lifelong companion of the amateur hippy detective Shaggy, who featured a mix of both "canine" and "human" traits? Scooby-Doo is undoubtedly one of the milestones not only in the history of cartoon world, but also our memories. The way we used to throw away our bags and await this cartoon to commence, in itself shows how fanatic we were for this Scoobe. Remember the way it said "Scooby Dooby Doo" ?

3) THANDA MATLAB COCA COLA
The very first advertisement that comes up our mind, when we talk of 90s, is the one in which we saw the tapori Aamir Khan in his most mischievous avatar, asking shopkeeper for the "Coca Cola". Needless to mention the anxiety with which we awaited this advertisement to feature on Television during those "5 minute Breaks" that happened between the cartoons !! This commercial advertisment has for no doubt, left at indelible imprint on the heart and mind of each 90-KID.

4) ALADDIN
Who of us doesn't remember watching Aladdin ? The major agenda we had as kids, was to get done with our homework in the noon, so that we can grab a "Mum's Consent" to our favorite cartoon in the evening. Aladdin, a fictional character of the Arabian Nights ,who lived in the street of Agrabah, was a childhood crush of each girl and not-to-forget, how much we adored "Shehzadi Jasmine" too.

5) KATTI TO KATTI, SABUN KI BATTI
Haha ! This one clearly bags the title of "The most spoken phrase of 90s" for sure. "Katti" was our innocent way of showing our anger, by extending out little finger towards the person we're angry of. This act was accompanied by the phrase that goes like "Katti toh Katti, Sabun Ki Batti, La Mere Paise, Ja Apne Ghar". This marked the initiation of our childhood disputes which were later resolved by saying "Dosti" :)
Somewhere between "Katti" and "Blocked", we grew up !

6) OYE BUBBLY!
This is "no doubt" one of the most catchy ads we've ever had in the history of India Television.
Rememer Shah Rukh Khan gulping in Pepsi, is his most charming avatar in this advertisement ? Not to forget, the playback voices of Saif Ali Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar asking out Bubbly, one after the other?
None of us can let go, that memory of singing
"Oye Bubbly ! Oye Bubbly ! Be My Lover Bubbly !"

7)Hero and Ladybird Cycles
Being a "90 born" kid, I can never miss on this one. 90 is the exact era, where we saw a never ending craze of Cycles in kids. Everybody of us, owned the latest models of cycles with "Hero" famous with Boys and "LadyBird" with girls. In addition to this, we also had a large collection of fancy Keyrings to flaunt about and we took immense pride in riding a bicycle. Though kids today, find "riding a bicycle" shameful, but for 90ers, it was the biggest idea of fun.

8) From Archie To Chacha Chowdhury
Remember, reading those cartoon books (comics)
